Asset Management
Ryne joined Timberlane in 2021. As the leader of the Asset Management team, he takes pride digging into the details and collaborating with partners to ensure all Timberlane properties reach their fullest potential. Prior to joining Timberlane, Ryne worked at Apple in a variety of roles including with the Retail Real Estate Finance team. He holds a BA in History with a Minor in Economics from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Outside of work, Ryne enjoys travelling internationally, reading, and going on long walks in the park. Ryne lives with his wife, son, and adorable corgi, Albus, in beautiful West Seattle.

Alex Mundy

Alex is a commercial real estate finance and asset management professional with more than 15 years of experience across institutional lending, private credit, brokerage, and appraisal. He spent six years originating multifamily loans at JPMorgan Chase, where he underwrote a broad range of apartment investments across the Pacific Northwest. He subsequently worked with the multifamily investment team at Kidder Mathews and then as the national head of underwriting for Broadmark Realty Capital. His background underwriting deals from a lender perspective informs how he thinks about asset performance, capital structure, and investment decisions on the ownership side.
Alex holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Whitman College. He is a lifelong Washington resident and currently lives on Bainbridge Island.

Richie Lim

As part of the asset management team, Richie is involved in the company’s financings, dispositions, capital improvements and investor relations, while assisting in acquisitions of value-add investments. Richie joined the team at Timberlane Partners after relocating from Chicago during the pandemic. He has previously held several acquisitions and financing positions, notably scaling an operating company to over 10,000 units at a private multifamily REIT in Chicago.
Richie earned a BS from Indiana University with concentrations in Finance and Accounting, as well as an MBA from the University of North Carolina with a concentration in Real Estate.

Catherine Michael
she/herAsset Manager
Catherine Michael is part of the Asset Management team at Timberlane, where she focuses on optimizing property performance and enhancing investor relations. She collaborates closely with property management to execute business plans and leasing strategies, while overseeing capital expenditures and renovations.
Prior to joining Timberlane, Catherine worked on the Asset Management team for Bridge33 Capital, where she was responsible for developing and implementing a business strategy for 6 properties within the portfolio, totaling over 1.96 Million SF of retail. Catherine’s background also includes contributions in investment analysis, brokerage, property management, and leasing at leading firms in the real estate sector.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Catherine maintains an active lifestyle. She enjoys running, discovering new culinary experiences, traveling, and engaging in outdoor activities such as boating, snowboarding, and hiking.

Axel Heide

Axel Heide, a Washington native, began his career at HomeStreet Bank in their commercial real estate asset management department. He earned a BS in Business Administration with a focus in finance from Chapman University. While in school, he was a varsity track and field athlete and took elective courses ranging from ceramics to Arab studies.
Outside of work, Axel enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Ben McDonald
he/himConstruction Project Manager
As the Construction Project Manager at Timberlane, Ben manages and executes the major capital expenditure projects across the company’s multifamily portfolio.
Ben brings extensive multifamily construction experience from Marx|Okubo & Associates and W.G. Clark Construction, where he managed large CapEx projects, multi-million-dollar budgets, and property site work. In his role at Timberlane, he supports all CapEx initiatives across the company’s multifamily assets and works closely with the Asset Management team.
With over five years in multifamily real estate, Ben takes a results-driven approach to every project, combining hands-on construction expertise with a holistic view of development and management.
Ben holds a B.S. in Construction Management and a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington. He lives in Seattle, where he enjoys Husky football in the fall, golfing in the summer, and skiing in the winter.
